Are perfomance center grips different from standard grips?

I picked up a pair of N frame round butt grips off of a performance center 629. They are in great shape and have a natural look to them.
I guess my question is, are these any more or less desirable than a set of regular N frame round butt? I like the look of high gloss finish on other grips, which I would rather have those.
Thanks

I have a nice spare pair of S&W Combat Finger Groove Grips for the N-Frame like the ones you want. Contact me by PM if interested.

They are gorgeous grips, but am I the only one that thinks the grooves cause your grip to be too far down?

Those old Combats were from the '80s and while they look great I don't personally care much for the feel of them. The finger grooves are misplaced and they force me to either disregard them or have too low of a hand position. I have large hands too, would think they would work even less well for someone with a smaller hand. I realize that grip fitment is a very individual thing. But I'm sure curious as to the "why" of the current high price-tag for these grips? Is it simply a "not many of them were made" or nostalgia thing?

Has anyone seen or does anyone have an idea what a set like the ones on the 629 (grips I have) go for price wise?
Thanks
