Are there K frame target grips with football cut?

I just acquired a 19-3 that has the standard target grips with the scalloped area at the top of the left grip panel. There are some scratches on the frame within the area relieved by the scallop, which appear to be the result of rubber grips or something else eating at the finish.

I think a football cut grip as I have seen on N frames would cover these scratches - is there such a grip for K frames?

Thanks 410bore and Doc44 - just found (and ordered) a set on ebay. Should cover up the scratches nicely.

I am refinishing a set right now for my 14-3. Had a few chips. Just remember, you can't have too many grips! Enjoy your 19! I don't have 1 of those. Bob

Glad you got the right target stocks for your 19-3. Unless it was a very late dash 3, it should not have had the speedloader cutout stocks anyway. IIRC those did not appear until about the same time as the 19-4.

And now that you have an extra pair of grips, you need another K frame to put them on.

I'm partial to the smooth ones as well

Love those, are they Mahogany?

I have a 629-1, and I bought it with Pachmyrs. I got a nice set of Kuracs, and they are too nice for the gun. They look great though.

Your 19s are sweet. I love those smooth targets on them, really beautiful.

Edit - the revolver on the right is a 13?

The left gun is a model 57 and I believe Brazilian rosewood.
The right one is a 4 screw 17 and rosewood also but cocobolo I think.

Very Nice.

I just posted pics of my 629.

I can;t wait until I get the K-Frame Targets for my 19.

I greatly prefer smooth wood grips or rubber grips for shooting to factory target grips. I have had excellent luck with a couple of pairs of smooth wood grips I bought from the Thai grip listings on eBay. Price is right. Some have reported contrary opinions about the Thai grips, but I couldn't be happier with mine.
