All I can see different is the diamond in the center of the checkering?

The diamond is one key thing to look for but not all Diamond grips are "cokes" . The main thing to look for is how close to the bottom of the grip the checkering is.

Note the large empty space between the checkering and the bottom of the grip in your example and compare it to the smaller empty space in redhawk's example.

there's also the much larger area of the top of the grip removed to allow for clearance/use of a speedloader. whereas the cokes have the "football" cutout.

after you know what they look like and see a few pairs, they start to jump out at you :D

standard procedure;
1. do they have a Diamond in the center. if yes, proceed to step 2.
2. are they N frame? (although there are some K frame Coke Style that have been seen) if yes, proceed to step 3.
3. The checkering is the key....its wider, taller, and has a more defined curve along the top of the checkering than other Diamond N-Targets.

:D :D :D :D

Here's a couple of side by side pictures of regular Diamond Targets and Cokes. The easiest way to tell the difference is the large checkered area as shown on RIGHT

The palm swell is not always an easy way to determine Cokes - these are the same grips as pictured above and the swell is not a huge difference - again, Cokes on Right

$500 bucks for a set of grips??? Now things HAVE gotten out of hand.LOL.:D

I checked....I had that wrong, they were 400 and they have not sold yet. Although I have seen them sell right here in the classified for 225.

What makes them do valuable anyway? Scarcity?
