Came across these N frame Hogue grips. I searched online and was unable to locate any examples of these with the gold medallion. I know Smith sold these as factory grips on some guns, anyone ever seen them with the medallion?

The Hogue grips that came with my 686 have the emblem molded in. Not a proper medallion like your picture

Those are cool, newer round butt. The ones I can't find are the square butt with the relief on the right side.
I'd looked for maybe 20 years and finally found a stash of those Square Butt N frame grips at a now-closed variety store. Later I found a single set at the local gunshow. The S&W logo is molded in as opposed to inset but I'm not complaining! The round butt version is certainly a lot easier to find.

The grips in question came on 629-3 Classic and Classic DX and 29-5 Classic and Classic DX .44 magnum, 629-3 mountain gun models in the 90's. They are becoming harder to find every day and going up in price, so yes there is a degree of special to them. Hogue never made a K/L frame version with the silver medallions. The grips in question were all round to square butt conversion. Hogue did make the same grips without medallions in N and K/L frame with the molded in S&W logo on later revolvers. They also made a very rare N frame square butt version with molded in S&W logo and speed loader relief on both sides.
