I thought these were N frame and was advised so on another forum, but I am getting questioned on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

Too bad you don't have a K or N frame to try them on. Even a round butt gun would provide the answer, if you know where to look. K and N frame stocks will fit on either size frame, but the wrong size grips will either stick out at the top of the backstrap (if using N stocks on a K frame) or they'll be too short and the frame will extend past the top back of the grips (when using K frame grips on an N frame).

These are Combat stocks, but these and your MOP's are made to fit flush with the backstrap at the top. The dimensions shown are the best way to distinguish between the two sizes.

The images posted do not help very much. A typical N frame stock is just over 1/16" larger at the base. An N frame stock is about 15/16" wide at base and K frames are slightly smaller than 7/8". You must remember that pre-WWII stocks were fitted to the frame which was an operation that could have removed material from the wood, the steel frame, or both, so no two stocks will be exactly the same.

The best way to determine which frame a set of stocks fit is to carefully measure the "ears" at the top of the stock from the back side. N frame ears are almost twice as wide as K frames. N frame ears are just under 1/4" wide, while K frames are just over 1/8" wide on average. Measuring height is also not a good idea since N frame stocks are only about 1/16" taller than K frames. Using Magna stocks for comparison is close, but since the washer is smaller than the top round hole in the frame, measuring the Magna stock gives an ear dimension that is slightly larger than a service stock measurement.

As noted above, putting them on a S&W K or N frame revolver is the best way to tell for sure.
