52a pic

Do you have a pic of the 52A magazine you are mentioning?

First magazine on the left is a Model 52 magazine however, it is altered. And more to the point, it is altered wrongly/poorly.

52 magazines are designed to hold just 5 rounds. Back in the day, some folks extended the side cuts to allow the follower to go deeper and allow one or two more rounds than originally intended.

At some point, someone figured out that these alterations in the side cuts need to angle slightly forward in order for this alteration to work. So 52 mags that have been altered properly will look slightly different than what you show.

In the typical market, an original S&W made 52 magazine is a very valuable item. An altered one is going to be worth substantially less. And this one even less -- because it is altered poorly.

With that said however, there is good news: this magazine, if it is not otherwise molested, should still work properly with the original 5 rounds loaded in to it, but all bets are off with regards to function if you load more in to it.

The second magazine is a Model 39/39-2 magazine.

The 3rd one could be a number of different things, but viable guesses include 9mm, .38 Super, .40 S&W or 10mm Auto, all for a 1911 pistol.
