Are they ever going to be made

That is standard for gun manufacturers, announce and promote a new model, but not produce it until several years later, if at all. S&W used to be one of the worst offenders in this regard, I can't begin to tell you how many ticked off customers I had asking for their latest whiz-bang model, heavily advertised in all the gun mags, that simply had not yet reached the production floor, and was years before actually being available to a lowly gun shop. Hopefully, that has changed, but it doesn't sound like it has gone away altogether.

I thought that was part of the risk of doing business? Nothing wrong with trying to gauge what the public wants but advertising something you may never produce is taking it a bit too far for me. I wouldn't build a boatload to start.

Consumers using your products, seeing them in use by others would appear to be the best advertisement.

It just proves once more I know nothing of business.

Just got off the phone with Smith. The 43C is in production now. The 329 XL Hunter is suppose to start production in a couple of weeks. This is going to be hard on my bank balance!

I like the look of these grips, are they available now? Are they round butt in a square butt look?

Believe it or not, I saw a 43C for sale on one of the major gun auction sites today. (I'd be more specific, but the last time I mentioned one of these places by name I got "moderated".) Have no idea if the auction is legit, but the price seemed fair.
