Was at my LGS the other day and the handgun stock and ammo was really the best I've seen since 1st stopping in there in Jan.

The Sig display was well stocked; the S&W had over 15 models; Ruger was pretty good; and the 1911s were great (they even had 4 Ed Browns, 2 Baers and 2 Wilson Combats - drool :p ), and the Kimber and Colts were decently stocked as were 8-10 S&W's.

As for ammo, lots of variety and calibers, even good stock of 44scpl ammo (bought a 100 rounds and they asked if I wanted more).

From the shops I've been in around here I would say things are close to normal. Nicely stocked handgun displays, plenty of powders, primers still on allocation (2k per vehicle) but bullet supply and .22 ammo still kinda iffy.
We're getting there.

Same here. Seeing lots of choices right now.

Unlimited primers all types, 45 ACP at levels higher than normal, and regular price. Nothing in 22 though at all.

Funny around here primers and powder are still missing and a rare find and 22LR is still really hard to find.

I hope it all comes back soon. My reloading is piling up. I figure I just may
buy some new ammo too.

It's hit or miss where I shop for ammo. Have not yet seen 1 round of .22LR this year; handgun ammo comes and goes, but revolver ammo has been much easier to get than ammo for automatics.

I believe distributers are still reluctant to ship to NY. Hand Guns are coming back, some shops are gouging on ammo,like$99 for 50 rounds of .45 acp Winchester white box. That was a $39 at Walmart .No .22 ammo
Reloading supplies ,not much, one store wants $60 for primers. And .22 cents a round for .22ammo(all you want) I guess he is funding his next hunt.

If you are in SoCal would you mind PM'ing me the shop name? In my area (SoCal Inland Empire) the shelves are still bare. I went to Turner's on Tuesday (2 days ago) and the only handgun ammo they had was .40.

Things are not back to normal yet for many, unless you count going down to a box store/chain sporting goods store and over paying for ammo in my area.

None of the internet volume/discount places are close to being fully stocked. There are still no primers are powder to speak of either online or in person.

If you have plenty of both ammo and reloading fare, I'd say count yourself lucky.

In my eyes things will be "normal" when I can go to Wal-Mart or Dick's sporting goods and by bulk packs of .22LR.It looks like that is quite a ways off as of today.

We really don't have many LGS in the area that sell reloading components so I have to utilize the big supplier like Powder Valley, Precision Delta, Montana Gold etc. I personally don't see a big change or basically any change as primers, bullets and selected powder are still hard to come by. I would think the big suppliers would be seeing things improve before the Ma/pa shops would. I envy some of you able tp purchase components locally.

Not happening here, better but far, far from normal. Don

Lgs here seems to be stocking powders and some lead bullets. Slower on primers but all in all showing some improvement.

Sorry. Not even close to returning to normal yet. Visit a half dozen shops in the area and you will understand that we are not out of it. Fortunately I'm a reloader and stocked up over the past couple years so I have not been impacted.

It's a little better. I see ammo sitting on the shelves again instead of being bought up instantly.

Not Yet Normal in NM

Yes, It's better here too. I was in a Walmart where .22 was available. LGSs are still limiting one or two boxes per day depending on caliber.
