Arlen's Last Stand?

At this point it doesn't matter what party he's a member of because the Dems have a solid majority so it won't make a difference as far as commiteys or anything, his vote is all that really maters at this point and we know from experiance he doesn't really care what his party thinks on a subject he votes his own way.

When he voted "Unproven" during B.C's impeachment I sent him one of my famous Poison Pen letters. Called him a RINO then & I'm proved right. Sad case of an old politican trying to weather the storm by riding the fence again. No good this time Arlen. Take your retirement money and run. Good case for term limits. As my Dad always said " If they can't steal enough in 8 years why give them another 4?"

Don't know how true it is, but I heard that his defection gives the Dems the number of votes they need under Senate rules to pull things off they couldn't otherwise. I think it has to do with cloture and/or reconsideration.

And Snowe and Collins will soon, if not already, give them 62.

He's always been a Weasel. It will be a pleasure to vote for whoever he runs against in the next election.

Remember PA elects some pretty awful folks. I give you Murtha as an example. PA is way too close to NY and NJ for its own good. Both physically and in its citizens. It would seem a slim majority of them are scum sucking dirtbags, just like those representing them. Where's my freeshit.

DICK, PA was too far for the NJ, NY freeloaders to migrate back then. Now we're infested, I think it's the other way around. NY and NJ poisened themselves so much now they are poisioning my neighborhoods. "Scum sucking dirtbags" seems a bit strong for a State that has provided this Nation with a disproportionate
number of military fighting and dying men and women. I've got acres of graveyards full of family and ancestors who worked and fought for the land.
Thought you might like to know ya pissed me off!

In many ways there are two and maybe more
Pennsylvania's". Spectre is from Philly where even the Republicans are liberals, just mostly they can't get elected so are kept "honest" by lack of graft opportunities. Much of the Central part of Pa is quite rural with good hunting and fishing and hard working polks who pay taxes and generally obey the laws, etc. Pittsburgh is a world unto itself, Democratic, but not as elitist as Philly.
Then there are little enclaves of mess, like Johnstown and Scranton-Wilkes-Barre that have Dem. & Union dominated local Governments and organized crime infested systems. I shoot with some people from the Wilkes-Barre area who are very nice, but they have some oozy politicians up that way, and as for Murtha, hanging is too good.
Just a reminder that the Keystone state is a mess, right now, sort of a microcosm of the whole country, much of it is well grounded and full of liberty, & some of it is Philly, etc..

+1 for Nightowl's comments. Losing Arlen is not losing much. He's a weak, poll driven, attention craving, POS. Good riddance.

Re-read my post, quoted above for your convenience. I gave you and me the out. Its the slim majority I'm calling scum sucking dirt bags. The ones who voted for both Rep Murtha and for Sen Sphincter(AH).

Sorry that you feel compelled to defend those who put the trash in office. Its your right to defend your elected representatives and the voters who put them there. Its my right to voice my opinion that both Murtha and Sphincter (it has a nice ring to it), and those who elected him are dirtbags. I have no idea how you voted, but if you voted for them, you know how I feel about you.
