Gator, of course he going to deny it in interviews and he would never divulge his sources or they would dry up. Believe him if you like but he has been given classified intel for decades and it appears in his books. Maybe you haven't read the same books by Clancy I have but rest assured they could not have been written by someone who did not have extensive knowledge of how our intelligence agencies operate and that knowledge is classified. I don't think Clancy intended any harm in his early novels but you have to wonder if Debt of Honor (1994), may have inspired 9/11.
Don't get me wrong, I love his work, particularly his early stuff. It is his authenticity and attention to minute detail that captivates but classified code words and procedures only come from inside the system. Keep in mind I am talking about novels written pre-internet wherein bozo's like the original subject of this thread weren't able to disseminate large blocks of classified data to the entire world. I just wish he would come out with another novel without the coauthors he has employed over the last ten years. I think his original stuff, particularly the Jack Ryan series, represents his best work to date. Another favorite is Vince Flynn and his Mitch Rap series, for a great read check out "Consent To Kill"
