As you all know by now...

If you're really going country, you gotta have.....

If you put one behind or beside the door put the muzzle down. Less manipulation when you pick it up. Plus if it goes off when picking it up or setting it down it shoots a hole in the floor instead of your head.
I can remember some old people putting them over the door. It keeps small kids from picking up the gun but I never wanted to be spread out at the door. Larry

Below is the wall gun rack I built in middle school wood shop class. Still have all my fingers by the way :). Swords I picked up in Japan. Below that is a Japanese bayonet made in a weapons factory in Inchon Korea during the Japanese occupation pre WWII. I have family history with Inchon during this time frame, so pretty cool to me. Revolver is a replica Colt 1851 Navy cap and ball. Adds a cool touch to the wall and fun gun to shoot. The rest are either in the safe, on my or the night stand.

Ahhh! I was afraid that would come up. Well, to my shame, I do not own a truck. For the first time since 1967 I do not have a truck. I been tryin' to live it down but I may have to just buy some old beater and park it in front of the house....and it will have a gun rack in the back window.:o

Going country without a truck? In what world does that make sense?

We reconfigured the first floor rooms about 14 years ago: in the process I converted the "dining room" into my home office/Den.

I have my "first rifle" a Stevens Favorite mounted over the french door to the kitchen and a Winchester 1875 Low Wall mounted over the bi-fold wood doors (was a 4' archway) that access the "living/media room".

My old 5' oak School Teachers desk sits in front of the 6ft window overlooking the backyard which is wooded.

I've got a "Tactical Walls" wall mirror mounted between the studs.... sliding door/mirror that holds a 20 gauge and a M&P 9mm.
