This is a horrible end for an officer. I just read where someone was walking Lady GaGa's dogs and someone shot him and stole the dogs. The dogs were found later and the victim is doing ok in the hospital.

I heard all about the Gaga dogs but it took a while to learn about the condition of the poor guy who was shot.
It was added as an afterthought later.

it's not just there...the Police Chief of Springfield ILL-inois sides with BLM thugs, and worries more of their feelings than the safety of the Officers...something tells me he will be running for the office of Mayor soon. Typical politician's gibberish.

"Woke" describes people who have come to the conclusion that the old status quo is not working for the majority of Americans (especially minorities and under-represented classes) and are trying to make systemic social changes through social and political activism (as in "They have woken up to reality"). Many who do not want to alter the status quo are using it as a slur; others who embrace the concept are honored by the description. Your mileage may vary...

I agree with other that this thread will not age well.

But before that happens, allow me to observe that the one thing I have noticed is our society has changed so much recently to the point where even an ARMED ROBBER is refusing to wear a mask!
