Here are two recent examples:
Loudon Cty. VA. banned Dr. Seuss for its racial undertones.
Hasbro dropped the Mr. from Mr. Potato Head, Potato Head is more inclusive.
People can decide for themselves what woke means.

We stayed at a friend's house Saturday night in Harvey, La., just across the River from NOLA. I sat outside enjoying a warm breeze for about an hour. During that hour I heard two different sets of gun shots. One was two shots, the other was multiple shots. I heard sirens after the multiple shots. I don't know if anyone was hit or not. We were down there a couple of months ago when a guy was shot and killed while driving on Lapalco Blvd. about two blocks from where we were staying. The police were still canvassing the neighborhood when we left the next morning. I try to stay out of NOLA but sometimes I have to drive through there to get somewhere else. For over a year someone has been shooting people on I 10. We had to go around a traffic jam for one of the shootings. As far as I know he's still on the loose. I would hate to have to defend myself and have to face the NOLA justice system. Another good reason to stay away from there.

This is increasingly the case in Omaha.
The DA tries to do it right, but if it leaves his office for any reason, its subject to review by a weaponized justice system.

I'll stick my head out and try to explain what "woke" means to me.
Well I had it all written out and knowing I've been in "jail" before with similar comments I let it all go.
I will say that for me at least it took the murder of George Floyd to bring me to a totally different understanding of what it means to be a human being in this country today.

"Woke" describes people who have come to the conclusion that the old status quo is not working for the majority of Americans (especially minorities and under-represented classes) and are trying to make systemic social changes through social and political activism (as in "They have woken up to reality"). Many who do not want to alter the status quo are using it as a slur; others who embrace the concept are honored by the description. Your mileage may vary...
