ASPCA anti gun and hunting?

Contact a local shelter and provide support. If not certain which one ask a local vet clinic... Those groups mentioned are anti, anti, anti....

I'd avoid larger organizations. Any contributions made tend to get sucked up by administration anyhow.
you want to help something somewhere, go find a rescue center that needs it. PETA and the ASPCA don't fund them.

Here is a link to a web cam stream of FFRC, a cat rescue center in Defiance Ohio ... the hose site will allow you to search different centers till you find one you like .. then donate as you see fit

Thanks for the heads up about The Grey Muzzle Tom, I've just became a monthly donor....this old dog is glad to help other old dogs.

Bless you. You will help save lives. :)

Senior dogs are usually harder to place because everybody wants cute puppies and senior dogs often have medical issues.

I knew "The Humane Society of the United States" was anti -gun anti-hunting. But I didn't know about the ASPCA. No more donations for them. Our local "Humane Society" makes a definite point of telling potential donors they have NO connection to "The Humane society of the U.S."

Part of PETA and HSUS agenda is the eventual outlawing of keeping animals as pets.

I would say a large percentage of the people I deal with in rescue are pretty liberal. I ignore it for the dogs. They are usually wonderful people. I spent a day hanging out in my rescue's office. The ladies there are truly dedicated to saving the dogs. Made me feel like a bit of a piker. ;)

Dogs don't usually take our aid, grow up to hate America and join jihad movements to try and kill us, nor do they sneak into our country in the dead of night and live off of our welfare system like parasitic leeches...

I'll stick to helping dogs, thanks.

75% of those children dying from starvation every day are under the age of 5. I guess in your area there are a lot of 5 and under terrorists which accounts for your lack of compassion.

Another vote....

If you want to help animals here's another vote for helping animal shelters near you. That way the help goes straight to the animals rather than someone's political campaign.

BTW I definitely don't give to anybody that calls me on the phone. If they can pay people to call people to get them to pay money, I don't think very much goes to the cause.

Truly, reading IS fundamental...

Oh note also, this thread started about helping animals, you tried to hijack it in another direction. If your desire is to discuss starving biped offspring, then perhaps you should start a thread of your own about it, which I will duly ignore, since as you noted, I lack compassion towards same... I WOULD be willing to consider negotiating aid in exchange for neutering, as their prolific breeding is the greatest cause of their cycle of starvation. For the record, I'd support the same for animals as well, to an extent... (oh wait, in most cases they already DO that for animals, don't they?)

Now, back on topic, yes, PETA and the ASPCA ARE VERY anti-hunting and anti gun ownership. Take a bag of food, an old towel or a blanket, even buy some bleach and take it to your local shelter, or write them a check, that will impact the animals directly, not likely be used to fund the next violent protest, sit in, hunt disruption or purchase a can of red paint to throw on someone's wife in a fur coat.
