The jig is up!!!!!!!!!! My wife bought me a new safe, has one of those electronic locks. She could not see the numbers on the old safe dial. She has tried to get into it, but she messes up and it locks out after so many unsucessful attempts. I showed her numerous times the procedure. Don't worry, all of my wife's jewerly looks the same!!!!!

Oh, she got me those holster things that velcro to the inside of the door. She got me 10 I think, I wisely only put 6 into the holsters, my B grade guns. The good stuff is buried a little deeper.

My first wife also had the combo. She ran off with the following guns plus more that I didnt have pictures of. Audie Murphy once owned the colt new frontier. Guess what? My new wife also has the combo but I trust her. Come to think of it, I did the 1st one too! Your on your own!

I don't worry so much about the combination as I keep the keys for the combination lock in another safe....

Easily handled.

Tell her you wrote it down for her, but you can't leave it layin' around for a burglar to find, so you locked it in the safe......

My gunsafe has an electric keypad, with a factory 4-digit combination you cannot change. Another combination can be programmed for the user (myself), and a "guest combo" that can be easily changed.

If your safe has this option, simply program a "guest combo" for you wife and live at peace with yourself. If, down the road, you suddenly want to prevent access, you simply change the guest combo.

That's all I can think of, but you need to have the electric keypad and the combo options I guess for this to work for you.

tell her the combo but don't mintion the 4L, 3R, 2L thing

What should I do?

DO I NEED A LAWYER?

I'm thinking that you are leaving something out of the story:confused:. Your lawyer comment is a big red flag to me.

What led up to this conversation in the first place with her?
Why does she want combination - does she have some of her important papers or jewelry in there?

If you don't want her in your safe, buy her her own safe.:p

Maybe she's buying you a present and wants to put it in the safe to surprise you........but, on the other hand I'd start sleeping with one eye open.

Just say "sorry, honey, but do to cash flow problems I had to cancel my life insurance". That should do the trick.

so far i haven't been asked...except by my son...i gave him the evil eye with no comment....so...the bright side is... some of us are safe....so far
