All 3 Wal-Mart stores near me never did carry powders or primers, only ammo in all 3 and guns in 1 of them. That one store no longer carries guns but I have no idea why. BTW, the one that carried guns is in a different county that the other 2. That's why they could carry guns, it's a county regulation thing. The county line is only a mile or two from my house. All 3 stores are within 7 miles from my home in all directions lol.

I have never seen powder or primers in a Walmart. Then again, I haven't been in a Walmart in four years and I intend to never go in one again.

The only positive thing about shopping at Walmart for me was this: No matter how blue I was feeling about my own life, an hour walking around Walmart always reminds me of how so many people have it so much worse.

Back in late 80’s and early 90’s the wally world in Boone N.C. had a reloading section way better than many gun stores. One isle , both sides, powder, primers, projectiles, dies , presses , everything one needed, long gone now.

Way back when CVS was Long's Drugs store, here in Reno Nv. ,
they sold guns, ammo and reloading supplies.
The store on Plumb & Kietzie street was a sportsman's dream house.

It is now a car dealership.

Going to wally world is better than going to the movies, cheaper too. I go in any grocery store with certain things to buy, no impulse unless ammo, lol.

For my new caliber requirement, the local Walmart carries 7.62 M80 ammo at the lowest price.

I go to Wally for usually fair prices on groceries and other things and esp medications at the pharmacy. And the other thing is I can see the walMartians. Go after 2100 and before 0730. Esp in Cody! Ya get to see all the touristas in jammies and almost in underwear...you know...the ones that camp in the parking lot...Even SPANDEX!!

They have the best ammo and new rifle/shotgun prices in my region. My Savage Axis was $200 less than my LGS, and I'm pretty sure one of them is going to Walmart and buying $25 boxes of .30-06 and selling them for $50 in their shop.

Went there the other day to see if they had a electric hedge trimmer, since
Home Depot only had made in China stuff.

Only one type and it was battery powered, which I refused to buy, since
I want full power for all the hedges and bushes on my property.

However, being July 12th, they still had a LOT of BBQ stuff all over the store.

info

I assume you bought the Federal Match ammo, which is not the same as pre-pandemic. Says it is for semi-autos but apparently now has less propellent, as it will not cycle a single one of mine.

I went back and bought another box. I ran about 4 mags through the S&W 41 and they all cycled as they should have. I have an old Savage Model 78 semi auto/bolt action/single shot rifle. I must admit they operate it too but it does seem slower than normal ...but they don't seem to be real fast anyway. I've had a dozen of them over the years and they are one of the best 22 semiautos I've ever had. I shot a few through the Remington M-5 and it shoots about as accurately as with CCI Standard velocity but not as well as Tenex but close. I think I am going to sell my last brick of Tenex. I just mostly use the 22s for fun guns

Got a box of Winchester 6.5 creedmoor a couple of days ago at Walmart. Last box they had. Had other hunting rounds, shotgun shells and ,22.
Sportsmans Warehouse didn't have any 6.5 CM but plenty of other calibers. They are running a sale on 9mm.

I love WalMart. Mine had .30/30 ammo yesterday - the first I’ve seen in a long time. .30/30 was one of the first rifle calibers to dry up around here once people realized that old lever action in the closet made a pretty good people-popper if it came to that.

I have converted all of my yard equipment (except tractor) over to battery powered electric. Same brand, same battery, so I never run out of juice.

I had a medium sized tree fall down last Winter and my 'lectric chain saw did the entire job on one battery. I am quite sure that the gas saw I sold last year would have required more than one tank of gas.

According to the specs its velocity is half way between std and high velocity.

I have several picky semi pistols that won't shoot anything but HV. My club's indoor range won't allow HV, so I'm stuck using all these guns ONLY outdoors. Sucks in the Winter.

I tried the Fed Match and it cycles perfectly thru ALL my semis. Plus, it is quite accurate.

I bought 12 bricks last Fall. The current Wally price today is LOWER!! THis week I bought 12 more bricks.

A local pawn shop has a used Savage A22 for $550. The Walmart located within walking distance has the same gun new for $380. The shop owner has admitted to me that he buys up any harder to find ammo that Walmart gets then marks it up in his shop.

Walmart doesn’t sell guns in NY. Big surprise I know.

Surprize??

I can identify at least a dozen Wallys within driving distance of my NY house that sell guns. Long guns that is.

As a matter of fact, just yesterday I saw the coolest Over Under shotgun in my local store. It was cheap too... If I didn't already have one I might just have bought it.

The ammo prices beat everyone else.

As some noted above, however, we do not carry reloading components in my local stores.

My brother was at the WM that Skeet was at yesterday and the day before and liberated 6700 rounds of Federal 7 1/2 and 8 shot.

I live on the west end of Billings and could smell his credit card smoke from my house!!!
