I will be in Dallas Ga. about 40 miles north and west of Atlanta. Are there any gun shops around Dallas? Thank you.

This should get you started. Looks like you'll need to come east from Dallas to get to the good shops. Stay north of "285" and you should be in great shape!

Adventure Outdoors - about 25 mi from Dallas. Huge selection, known for having about 10k guns in stock. Basically a gun superstore.

Chucks Firearms - in Atlanta proper. Would be a haul from Dallas. Small store, but a very knowledgeable group. If Jack is there (was the owner, sold the store a while back, IIRC, but was still around) you will meet a man that has an encyclopedic knowledge of guns.
