Several years ago (maybe 20+), there was a late night show on NBC that featured a British host and and a lot of great guest performers. Does anyone else remember this?
David Sanborn may have had a similar show on another network or I could be misremembering......
On another note......
There was a hotel in Atlanta back in the early '90s where jazz players from all over would sit in on "jam sessions" in the hotel bar on the top floor on Sunday nights starting at 11pm and play until 3 or 4 am. They were playing for the love of the music. It was free. Needless to say, I spent quite a few Sunday nights there......
