Just saw an episode of Auction Hunters where they were buying container contents in Alaska. They found two S&W revolvers-a .500 Magnum and a pre M29. The 2 idiots opened the cylinders on both and then swung the guns up, slamming them shut!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've given up on shows like that. They're promoted as reality T.V. when they're nothing more than made for T.V. episodes. Who'd leave over a $1K in revolvers, or thousands of dollars in long guns, a collector car or anything of much value in a storage locker and not pay the rent? The two guys you mention who mishandled the revolvers repulse me in the way they deal with the people they're trying to sell to. Anymore if I'm channel fanning and run across those two, I just keep going.

Undercover Boss, Pawn Stars, Storage Wars, Ice Road Truckers, & on and on and on. All those shows are kinda like WWF, just something made for people to watch and think it is real world when nothing could be farther from the truth.

I agree, but there's always hope...

I hope Gold Rush isn't staged. That might make me take a pass on everything except Justified.

LIZARD LICK TOWING has to be the most staged, totally B.S. show in the world bar none. That show is truly an insult to human evolution. I had to lock up my guns after watching that show, not because I might have shot the new TV, but simply because I might have shot myself.

I've always felt that it was scripted, because the guy 'Ton" was on the show with the lady that saves pit bulls a year or two ago. He was a snake wrangler. He had his own business.

Read "AURORA DAWN" by Herman Wouk...

Mr. Wouk started working at an ad agency and wrote this story using those experiences.
He was also a WWII Naval Officer and used those experiences to write "THE CAINE MUTINY" - A truly great American writer.

Anyway - THEEEE ONLY reason for ANY program is to get an audience for the commercials.
The *show* is just a hook and nothing more.......

I need to reread "AURORA DAWN". I've read it twice and after both times I quit watching TV for several months and then I forget I guess.

I was hoping they were staged stuff. I just can't or don't want to believe that people would leave behind a fortune in storage.

Then again maybe they don't know what fortune they really have, it's just old stuff.
