I was using my auto magazine loader for my buckmark .22 pistol and was wondering if there was anything comparable out in the wild yet. I don't have a problem doing it by hand but I would like a way to do it faster. Filling 5 25rd mags at once can be a bit tedious.

after seeing my friend use one with his glock i was suprised how rather ineffective they seemed to work. especially with the way you need to properly stagger rounds in the mags, it would probably become an issue. just my guess.

Which loader was he using? i have a lula for my ar and for my pistols and those things are AWESOME! i can load a 16 round M&P mag in about 15 seconds.

Thats odd, I use my Speed loader that came bundled( among many other things) with my Springfield XD9, and it works great and is ALOT faster/easier on the fingers than doing it by hand. Sorry his didnt work, but I'd MUCH rather use a speed loader vs. loading by hand for my AR's/AK's or my pistol mags.

I guess we should ask: genebofunk, do you by chance have the mags that do not have the buttons to pull down as you load your mag? I don't find the loading process that hard; but I usually only load about 20 per mag.

Our loader will load one round at a time, just in very quick succession.
Just for some input, what do you want from the loader and what should be avoided? AKA must have and must avoid.

The only input I can give you is that the device work well, be reasonably priced (under $50 would be ideal, but I would probably pay more if it really works), and small enough to carry in my range bag.

Loaders and 15-22 mags

Hadn't thought about a loader for these mags. I have both the Up LULA for my pistols and the Strip LULA for my AR. Love 'em!
BUT - the only way I've been able to beat the FTF problem is to use good ammo (CCI works best for me), and very carefully load the mag, using the side buttons on the mag follower and one round at a time. I verify that the bullets properly stagger, and generally load 20rds in my 25rd mags (I have eight of them). I was hoping someone (even S&W) improve on the mag design......

I think the biggest issue is ease of loading. I don't personally find loading to take that long, it just can be a bit tiresome on the fingers. For me, the biggest issue is that it takes the stress off my fingers. Even if it goes no faster than loading the regularly I would be interested if it was something I could use the entire hand to grasp. If it works like those crank loaders for the 10-22 mags that would be even better. That keeps pressure on the rounds being loaded, which would seem to help keep things in a double stack pattern in the mag. The load real quick too. I would be interested in either one of those style crank loaders or in something like the lula/uplula.

I feel as though it might even be just as helpful if there was some kind of handle that could be clipped on to the side "helper" buttons of the magazine...just something that could take the stress off your fingertips.

I envision some kind of plastic/metal device that would allow you to compress the follower by placing the magazine between your pointer and middle fingers, then applying downward pressure to load. Almost like a "trigger" on each side of the magazine.

Just a thought...
