Availability of M&P.22

Gentlemen.
I pulled the plug and opened the wallet for a new M&P.22. My LGS told me that he has had them on order since December, and doesn't expect them until June? Does anyone know why? I realize they are made by Walther, but what's the hold up??

I bought one Friday at Jay's in Gaylord MI and they have a few more and lots of magazines too. If your near the Soo you could drive down and smuggle one back across the bridge. lol

I've been waiting on a Shield since August. Walther is probably as backed up as S&W. MILLIONS of recent gun sales here in the US is the reason we're all waiting for everything guns and ammo related.

So back to the OP, the M&P 22 is available now, but it appears your LGS picked the wrong distributor if they can't get it until June.

What is a good price and an average price for one? my local gun store was asking $440, which for me a 22 that was way too high.

I have seen them go for $329-$379. Depend on where you look. Some gun shops are gouging. It's a dam shame, because I won't spend my money with those who gouge.

I looked for one for some time...You have to have 5/6 sites and go to them every couple of days...until one shows up...I just ordered one for $319+ $7 ship which I thought was good from Grabagun....Of coarse you could go to gunbroker and do some bidding...Jim

I have seen a few local as well, did not look at prices when I saw them, was looking for 1911, but did also see several of these in 22 also.

My LGS here in Tampa almost always has them in stock. Can't remember but I'm thinking they're going for $399 here.

It's available around here as I bought mine about a month ago locally. Unfortunately magazines are not available anywhere and it only comes with one.

Thanks for the heads-up on the availability of M&P .22 pistol magazines at Jay's Sporting Goods. I just ordered 3 - they only had 8 left when I ordered so if anyone out there is looking for them you had better act fast because they are nearly impossible to find.
