I traded into a 20 guage B. C. Miroku O/U shotgun this weekend. It has 26" barrels and fixed chokes of IC and Modified. It is in almost new condition and has excellent fit and finish. I don't know much about it but do know that if looks identical to the Browning Citori that I compared it to. I know that Browning has Miroku to make a lot of their guns. I have a 22 semi auto rifle that is made in Japan by this company. The small amount of internet research that I have done said that besides Browning they made guns for Charles Daly, Winchester, and Ithaca (SKB). Does anyone have any experience with this shotgun? This particular configuration looks like it will make a nice dove and quail gun and be suitable for an occasional round of skeet as well.

I had a Citori and a Miroku and Charles Daly at the same time they were identical in every way, it was often said Miroku sold Browning out the Front door and Daly & Miroku out the Back door. All Great shotguns.. Have Fun..

Gary,
You would do well to pattern this gun before you take it afield. I suspect it might throw a little tighter pattern (with today's ammo) than you might think.
I have had a Charles Daly 20 guage 28" barrels (Miroku) for 40+ years. Great gun. When I got the gun it was Full/mod. Way too tight for me.
I had it opened up to improved mod/improved cylinder.

Best,
Gary

I still have a Charles Daly 20 ga, purchased from Nagel's Gun Shop, in San Antonio 1968, while in the Air Force Biomedical Corp.

I asked the salesman, how many 26" Daly's he had, it turned out he had five. I requested to see all of them, and of course, bought the best wood.

Imp, and modified, 26" barrels. Still bird hunt with it.

Wonderful craftsmanship, will never part with it.

Anything made by Miroku is a class act.

I'm not sure that Miroku made those Ithacas. Ads then said that SKB was a separate manufacturer, and the guns are not that similar.

Miroku has been sold in various markets. I used to see ads for them under the Miroku name in UK gun magazines.
