It's been a long time since these fellas have spent the day together (M49 and M10-7). Thought the G19 and P32 needed a break from me and each other.

I don't fell under gunned in the least.

My EDC is a 49 no dash. In the woods I add a hip mounted 1911 or 1917. The revolvers wear T-Grips too!

When kayaking or canoeing I have a 4" 64 inside my life vest, it needs a T-grip (I need to get on that!)

Let's hear it for the basics.

I fight the revolver versus autoloader thing in my head all the time. I really like SIGs but wonder if we have really come all that far when I get to shoot a nice K frame. My wife recently bought one. We were shooting at the range and I marveled at how easy it was to shoot precisely. Only hits count. I am currently carrying a M649.

Revolver or semi auto.....

It doesn't matter to me what I've got as long as I have one in a bad situation.

I go back and forth between autos and revolvers for CCW all the time. I really like SIGs but J frames are sure handy. Everytime I shoot a nice K frame I wonder if we have really come all that far and do I really need a 10 round magazine.

I agree 100%. I also wrestle with this question a lot. My issue is, while I can shoot semi-auto pistols well, it always takes more effort. Shooting a nice K frame for me is like hitting the "Easy" button.

I also wrestle with the issue of capacity. I know that modern convention is that more rounds is more better.

However, I can't help but think that in any realistic defensive situation I can imagine, I would run out of time much faster than I'd run out of ammunition. So, it's much more important to me to use the gun that I can most reliably place accurate first shots on target very quickly.

And if that K frame is a 357 magnum, so much the better.
