I like thin compact pistols; I have small hands. Was loving my Shield 1.0, but the grip seemed a little too thin, even with Talon grip wrap. I picked up a Glock 43x and planned on selling the Shield. I haven't even shot the Glock yet. Now the Glock 43x is a great pistol overall. It feels great in the hand, has a ten round capacity, and with Shield Arm's magazine, the capacity can be increased to 15 rounds without changing the length of the magazine. In playing with and handling the Glock, I've discovered that my finger drags the inside of the trigger guard. I had toyed with the idea of filing down the inside of the trigger guard but decided against that. Luckily, the buyer I had lined up to take the Shield has been dragging his feet. A Hogue beavertail grip sleeve has really made the Shield a more perfect weapon. Just enough palm swell without being too much. I liked everything else about the Shield except the width of the grip. Needless to say, the Glock 43x is going up for sale.
