Details sketchy, apparently guy and gal went to Shoot Straight in Casselberry (a little north of Orlando) and both are dead. Happened around 4 pm, with a crowde range. Reports said they were "acting strange". News said gun was .38 revolver. We need a cold range for a few days. Folks are just a little nuts lately. Joe

Is there a link to this story, or do you have any more info? Are we looking at a murder/suicide? Seems to be a lot of that going around these days. I am always sorry to hear of a loss of life, but would really like to know the full story behind this.

On a cold hearted note, while I wish that there were no suicides at all, I also wish that these folks would stop using guns to "end it all". Again, I do not mean to be unsympathetic to persons so mentaly disrurbed as to take their own life, but this being a gun forum, I have to say that all these suicides using handguns really hurts us as a group and gives the antis more fuel for their fire.

It's stuff like this that makes me keep a loaded handgun on my person at my range at all times. (Ours has no matches, just people who like to sight stuff in). I have met a few strange people at our range, and sometimes people who don't belong there.

There is always a loaded gun on my person, either in my pocket or under my shirt, when I am at the range. Always.

I thought I was the only one crazy enough to pack a CW at the range. I feel better now.

Take a whole bunch of people from all walks of life, put them lined up next to each other, shooting god knows what...a formula for disaster.

Damn glad my range is off my back porch.

Then add me to the list of crazies who CCW's at the range.

Who DOESN'T carry concealed at an area range where any and all can come and go?

T'ain't smart no to exercise your right!

Plus, the rural ranges are great spots for predators to get some "free guns" from a lone person shooting . . . just wait 'til he goes downrange to pounce from the bushes and rush the bench area.

In Central Oregon, we do most our shooting at an old cinder pit, it's actually a cinder mound with the top flat. We NEVER are without a handgun on a person. We NEVER check our targets without a gun on a person. Normally we could start a small war with what we bring, but NEVER leave your guns to check targets.

As I recall, Platt & Matix of Miami shootout fame picked up a car or two (and maybe one or two guns) this way.

My best friend is back in town and we are headed to the range in the morning. I always have one of my carry pieces holstered on my hip at the range. You never know who is in the next lane but you do know that they are armed. I don't think I am particularly paranoid, just prepared.

I always pack at the range. Since I pocket carry a J frame, I can go all day and not even know it's in my pocket. Sometimes I think about it...and then pat my pocket.

It is really a part of you when you can not notice that you are carrying.

I've never been without a loaded concealed gun at the range. Why would I even consider it? No different than anywhere else. Our range has some strange birds as well. A little too intense about the sport, if you get my drift.

Looks like another ass clown committing suicide at a gun range. Wish these fools would handle their business at home.
