Bad shield barrel

I have a .40 shield that shot about twelve inches low and twelve inches left, several people fired this pistol with the same results. I returned the pistol to the factory and they sent it back and said nothing was wrong with it and no adjustments were required, but when I disassembled it they had roughly ground the front of barrel connecting link, and its better but now shoots eight inches low and left, and I think they have lowered the value of my pistol. Does anyone know where I can buy a new barrel for my gun. I like it but I can throw it more accurately than I can shoot it. The range is seven yards and I have no problem with my gold cup, and one of the other shooters is a very accomplished bullseye shooter, we all know a proper trigger press. Do you really think Smith is going to admit grinding the lug after sending me a letter saying no adjustment was needed?

S&W did not fix the problem and you want to buy a new barrel?

It would have been nice if you mentioned what distance you were shooting. At long distances some ammo will drop faster than others. Make sure you fully inform S&W in writing about the problem so that they can justify replacing the barrel during their second servicing of the pistol.

Let's see a picture of the grinding. If its as bad as it sounds it has to go back even if it was dead on.

So, for your second post, how about a photo of the rough grinding job from Smith? Low left by that much is usually a right handed shooter jerking the trigger...

A lot of the elevation POI problems is at what distance are you shooting from? I have contacted S&W three times, regarding POA sight picture and distance. I have three email replies and two state that the POA sight picture is #2 and one said it is #3. I asked what distance the guns are sighted in at, and was told 25 yards, 15 yards, and 10 yards. The customer service reps don't know, and they won't allow calls or emails to the designers, that would know. Adjustments for windage should be adjustable by moving the sights, unless the POI is way off.
