We're getting creamed as I am writing this. 250kph and it's sounding like a freight train outside.

Just saw this on the news: typhoon!

Best to you.

Batten down the hatches Jun, those typhoons can be pretty fearsome.

The last one I rode out was Typhoon Yuna, only a catagory 3. It was the ash fall from Mt Pinatubo that made thing really devastating.

Best of luck to you and yours, now and during the cleanup.

I was wondering if you were OK when I heard about Megi, or Juan, or whatever they're calling it in your area. ;) Check in again when it's over and let us know, please. Until then, keep your head down and your feet dry.

Put a couple bricks in your pockets Jun! My prayers for you and yours.

Hello all. The typhoon spared my area but I couldn't say the same for most parts in northern Luzon. They were hit pretty hard and are presently suffering from it's aftermath. Most of those places are agricultural land so it's one big tossed salad over there now. I am confident, though, that the people there will be able to pull through despite their present situation.

The Philippines get an average of 24 tropical storms/typhoons in a year. It's enough to keep you prepared and ready but obviously not prepared and ready enough.

Thank you all for the concern and prayers. It really helped.
