Baking/Eating Raw Dough?

With all of the food warnings , do you eat raw cookie dough, lick the spoon or bowl used in cake or brownie mixes?
Just made a batch of brownies, licked the spoon and scraped the bowl!
My all time favorite is chocolate chip cookie dough though oatmeal raisin cookie dough is almost as good, actually maybe better?
Holiday baking season coming up , so fudge and divinity mix season is near!

I've licked, taste tested every dough & batter I've ever made.

Not only that I've drank eggnog made with (gasp!) raw eggs ever since I was a little kid. And homemade ice cream made with raw eggs.
Last time I checked I was still very much alive 60+ years later.

I don’t need any warnings to not eat raw cookie dough. I don’t eat cookie dough ice cream either.

Once it is baked I usually like it fine. I don’t eat raw chickens or fish either.

I dont know about all that stuff but I do see that it seems to be the health nuts that get sick.

I have eaten raw dough. It's the possibility of salmonella in the raw eggs they are concerned about,
So I won't do it anymore.
I also have drunk raw milk, eaten liver, brains, heart and other organs.
Not to mention hoghead cheese- souse, chitlings and other deliacles.
No taking a chance on any of those either!

Salmonella is the only danger - same as eating anything else containing raw eggs. Pretty much only risking getting really sick (not death).
Do it at your own risk...

When I make apple or cherry pies, or peach or berry cobblers ..............etc.

if I don't save a 1x10" strip of dough for the wife, I think I might end up in the dog house.

I wait for the finished product but........... with Ice cream or whip cream, added...... maybe even chopped pecans and Carmel syrup !!

One time my sister was making chocolate chip cookies and a couple of my brothers and I kept hitting the dough in a coordinated attack. She finally broke into tears and made us all feel bad. Now she just presents us with the raw dough instead of the cookies. MMMMMMMMMMMMM Good.

To many people way to worried about way to much little stuff. Won't eat cookie dough but, will still get in a car and drive down the highway for no good reason. Now which one is far more likely to kill you????

I eat raw cookie dough made from scratch at home, but wouldn't eat the store bought ready to cook factory made stuff. We never buy the ready to cook stuff anyway,so no worries. We started cooking Christmas goodies this weekend so I'm off to a good start building up my raw dough immunity.
My dog jumps up on me all the time and manages to lick me in the face, she also licks her butt....dont think cookie dough cooties have a chance with me,lol.

Why not? after all, Sean Hannity did it and on live TV and didn't get sick. So, it must be OK to eat it raw. Also, sinse others eat raw meat??????????
