Watch out for that 5744. I tried using 5744 for my 460 XVR using 300 gr Speer JHP's. I even had a couple of discussions with the 5744 technicians.

Long story short, I blew up a bunch of cases (10-12) trying to figure out the powder. The cases would each separate in the exact same place and in the exact same manner. I would be left ejecting a 1/2" long case and have to pick out the remaining "tube" with a pencil. Some full length cases would be left with a white ring at the same location indicating impending failure.

I gave up and traded nearly 2 lbs of the stuff. Now I shoot 2 powders in my 460. Tailboss for powder puff loads and H-110 for full power. The powder puff loads still propell a 300gr Speer JHP at 1,000 fps.

good luck
