Two questions:
1. Anyone done business with bangitammo.com out of South Carolina?
2. Anyone used Precision ONE .38 Special reloads?
Thanks - Jp

This one is up in the air, IMO at the moment. I would give it some time and see how it goes.

1. I hate dealing with businesses that dont have a physical mailing address. Locked / PO Boxes just give me a bad vibe. They "claim" they are a licensed FFL dealer through the ATF. However, they have no building mail address. Funny how do u ship a firearm to them for transfer to a seller? <<<<<<------------ This is odd.

2. The website was register in March of 2013. Which we all know this was the middle of the hype/shortage/scare, etc.

Kinda fishy if u ask me. Once again, just my opinion.

Thanks Smitty357, I'll take your advice and wait and see, the March '13 start-up is a yellow light if not a red one. - Jp

I ordered 22 and 30/30 ammo from them. Delivered on time and at the advertised price. Would buy from them again.

Was it "Precision ONE" brand ammo? Google Street View of the
"contact us" address for Precision ONE appeared to be an ordinary residential neighborhood. I'm skittish when it comes to garage/basement operations. - Jp

Message from the owner.....Thanks!

Hello,

I really appreciate you asking about my company in this forum so I could respond. I’m also glad to see one of your members has purchased from us in the past and is happy with the service and products he received.

I'm actually the owner of BangItAmmo.com. I am the sole owner and operator working 24/7 with my family to get the ammo in and out. You are correct, we did open the company in early 2013. The main reason was that I was personally sick of trying to buy ammo being told I could only buy one box at time. We have never had a limit on ammo and still don’t. As for a physical location, at this point, we are strictly an online retailer. I am not a big fan of over extending myself so we are trying to grow slow to keep our costs down. As you know, it is very expensive to open a brick and mortar location and fully stock it.

My business is 100% legit and we only sell what we have in stock. We are a family run business that is a SC approved LLC, licensed in the State of SC., permitted in our county, member of the NRA, we use an NRA approved credit card processor and finally we are registered with the Federal Government for tax purposes. We also require age verification on all first time ammunition orders to make sure we are not accidently sending ammo to kids. In addition, we recently received our FFL as we hope to offer firearms sometime in the near future. But for now, our core business is ammo.

Another thing we are trying to do give small manufacturers like “Precision One” an opportunity to offer their products to a national platform. With this in mind, I am actively looking for any small manufacturers that would like to work with us to offer their ammunition as an alternative to the usual suspects.

Basically, that is all I can think of but if you have any questions, feel free to email me directly. My email address is on our site. Thanks! NICK

hi,
bought pre-1 ammo thru bangitammo.com and pre-1. 150 rounds thru three different guns; fnfmj and jhp. not one problem. ammoquest on youtube tested a dozen brands of 380 ammo and pre-1 tested best of all (testing used 5rds, not one).

am buying 9mm from pre-1 right now. recommend everyone try a box or three, look at the ammoquest videos, then decide.

cheers

hi,

you may find my response to jimmy.jet useful (or not) :)

cheers

I bought some 9 mm from Precision One early in 2013 at a gun show here in charleston.

Of course, they were way overpriced, especially for reloads, but i wanted to give a shot to someone local.

Out of 100 rounds, I kid you not, 28 had some sort of issue...light strike, FTE, etc.

Never again.

I find it very odd in either the linked threads regarding said ammo company, or the anecdotes in this thread, the person replies to accusations with literally a brand spanking new account each time. I mean, sure this forum is "big" but its not "that big" for the word to get to these dudes so quick. Red flag, do not buy from.....

Ordered from them and had no issues. I'd use them again.

If I'm reading you right, you're saying that since the folks defending/promoting bangitammo and precision-one have new accounts, they are suspect? If that's what you're saying, what I am seeing is that while waldengr has only 3 posts (2 of them in this thread) his account has been around since December - well before this little tempest-in-a-teapot started. And Bangit2013 started his account way back in July, though this is his first post.

On the other hand, Bobonaut apparently started his account for the sole purpose of slamming bangitammo.

If any of these guys are "plants", Wadengr and Bangit2013 certainly have more foresight than Bobnaut - they both established accounts well in advance of Bobonaut posting his little diatribe. FWTW

hi,
have never been named in a forum before; generally ignored. the account is authentic non-spoofed and used for learning and sharing. the pre-1 comments are based solely on watching the shooting the bull .380 and 9mm videos, plus my simple experience with both companies. (yeah, right. says you...and you would post this if you are/were a ringer, wouldn't you?). anyway, have relatives in SC and thought to join to see how things compare to my current state of residence. interesting to note how much gun forums "act" like so many other forums where members take negative advantage of annonimity (sp?) to just be rude. guess i have alot to learn about gun people. cheers, ya'll !!

No prob, man. Like I said, you'd have to be looking WAY down the road to have started an account a month ahead of time. The logical conclusion being that you are legit. Your response only reinforces your being legit.

BangIt -

Good luck in your startup business.

Suggest -
Clean up your online shopping pages. Allow the shopper to narrow the ammo choices by CALIBER. If I'm looking for .38 spec, don't make me wade through 50 AE, 40 S&W, .380 etc. At least put all the 38's together, 9mm's together etc on the page. They're scattered here and there. Sort by price is meaningless unless the shopper is comparing similar cartridges.

I am real! HA HA HA

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the advice on the site. My IT guy reworked the site so you can click on the calibers to find the ammo quicker which you can view here www.bangitammo.com

We are also working on another rework to increase the curb appeal.

To address the big question...YES! Believe me I am a real person. If you ever want to call and chat, I am the only one who answers the phone so you will get me if I can answer the phone. If you prefer to email me, I am around most days from 8 am until 12 PM and I will respond to your email in a few minutes unless I’m tied up.

For real time updates, you can also join our Face book page. I’m constantly on that that when I have a second and update it several times a day if I can.

Here is the link: https://www.facebook.com/BangItAmmo.

We have a great first year to say the least.

We have stuck to our game plan and have added several small manufactures like Precision One, PNW and Black Hills. The ammunition crisis seems to be getting better by the day although plinking ammo and 22 LR is still hard to find in any kind of quantity.

I am also very proud to say we have served several thousand customers in 2013 and our customer base continues to expand. It seems people like getting their orders in a reasonable time and knowing where their orders are!

Thanks again for all of your support in 2013 and we hope 2014 is just as good!

Bought .22 ammo from them on a trial basis. Processed and sent quickly at a competitive price. Will definitely buy from them in the future.:)
