Hi folks, this is my favorite method of concealed carry. No competition.
No dog in this race. I have these on four or five guns: usually j-frames or j-mag frames, although the one shown is on my 696 L-frame. As you know, the L-frame is the same grip size as the K-frame, so you order the K-frame. These are $28 shipped, are in 4 colors (my earlier ones, from 30 yrs ago, are in black which was the only color offered back then.
Also available for small-frame Taurus, Charter Arms, Rossi and Colts.

This shows you the "hook" which generally hangs on your belt.

...but you can hang it on the pant belt-line for increased concealment.

I have other IWB holsters: never use them with my smaller revolvers.
I can put the gun on my belt on 3 or so seconds when we leave the house for town. Safe carry in the car, walking, etc. I've never had a gun slip. Your belt holds it tightly to you. The cylinder hangs inside your belt, at belt-level. Pretty rapid access when you want it. If you buy this thing, you will be a believer.
I normally wear a t-shirt outside my belt, so gun is never seen. I do wear it in church, hanging on my belt-line, with dress shirt tucked in but pulled loose enough so that the "fold" hangs over butt and conceals it.
I hang it behind my hip, but can wear it forward of hip also, or cross-draw.
A user, like me, is good advertising for this device.

Yes, the old mirror trick. Sorry, meant to inform you of that.
There are Only right-handed models. If there are enuf lefties who want one, they would probably be happy to include them in the lineup.
Here is their phone number: Phone: (248) 738-0462

Hi:
I totally agree with you on the versitility of Barami Grips. My Wife and Daughter use the Pink Barami Grips on their "J" frames.
If I ever locate a hammer for an older model 12 to "Dehorn" I will get a pair of Barami Grips (Black not Pink).

I have used these for about twenty years and love them. They don't do everything perfectly, but are very good within their parameters.

***Slight hijack alert*** Has anyone fitted these to a M12, was it easy and did it work well?

baird - if they don't sell one specifically for a thinner framed model 12, a 75 cent sheet of sandpaper from the hardware store is all you need to slightly modify them. It's an easy process on the kitchen counter (while your wife's not home):)

Thanks for the reply Vm. I just saw this as my computer took a crap and I am "borrowing" my wife's laptop. That seems like an easy fix.

Well,
Since this seems to be the only pair of grips for a round butt J frame I don't already own, the orders going in today! It's actually a quite elegant solution for carrying a B/U. They follow closely enough to the frame profile to still allow pocket carry too. No more of the dreaded "aw, I'm only going to the mail box or convenience store for milk" type carry question. I'll be using them with a rubber band wrapped around them, to keep my widening belly from popping it up out of my waistband.

How well does this work with sweatpants carry, or any other pants where a belt is not used? Is a belt required to maintain stability and prevent the gun from rotating out of position?

Don't know yet Dave?
I'm guessing though, that the weight of the gun will have a great deal to do with it? Mine's an 11 ounce 342PD, so less so than with say a 640? But I learned a long time ago that what looks good on paper, doesn't always translate well to the real world!

My opinion....you really need a belt...you can get by with "hanging" it in your sweat pants or "jammie" bottoms when you need your hands free for a moment.

You might try a narrow web belt under your sweat pants. You could even attach a Tough Strip reload pouch under your sweat pants.

I used to carry a model 38 using the hip grip as pictured with the paddle under the belt. I kept the gun covered w/ a T shirt or sweatshirt. My job required some mild athleticism: jumping, climbing, crawliing. The gun never fell out of place. While "river ratting" with some friends I actually fell out of a sweet gum tree into a river, hitting and grappling for tree limbs on the way down....the revolver was still where it was supposed to be after swimming to the bank.

Some one from this sight informed me of a "lip grip" manufactured from laminated wood that is very attractive.

I was just thinking about posting a thread about those grips. My mom has that on her old model 60 but she didn't remember who made it. It just sucks that they don't sell it for us lefties :(

I Think you'd find even if they did Marcus, that the cylinder release would be too obscured to be used easily?
Hmmmm? Perhaps a L/H set of hip grips on a Charter Arms Southpaw?
