Bare with me please

I just joined this site today and have never been in any kind of forum....dont know how this all works, but I have a question that I hope someone will answer clearly for me......I want to buy a SW 40 cal semi auto that I can buy a 357 sig barrel for later on that will just drop in without any modification or additions and perform functionally......Can this be done with a Sigma40VE or does it have to be done with the MP or SD......

It might be harder getting a Sigma .357sig barrel, not sure what the aftermarket support is for them and they didn't make a lot of factory models in that cal.

You could likely pick up a factory barrel for the M&P, plus aftermarket support seems to be better for it.

M&P is the one. Just buy the factory .357 and drop it in; uses same magazines and recoil spring.

SIgma and SD .357 barrels are not currently manufactured.

Thank you.......One more question......Does it have to be a factory barrel or can I get one somewhere else that will work fine...?? And just wondered how much a factory sig barrel would cost.....Is it 77 bucks or more like 177.00 ??

Thanks alot......I know what I want now, and I dont see why many others wouldnt want the same deal.....I want a SW M&P 40cal and a 357 sig barrel to drop in it also.....effectively having two guns for about 555.00 total......Cant beat that.....Now I gotta come up with the money.........I buy all my guns online at Budsgunshop.com Their prices are almost unbeatable, and I have never had a problem with them.....I can get an MP40 for 454.00 bucks there.....

From the butt-end, the .40S&W and the 357Sig look the same so you just need a different barrel.
