Has anybody tried the Barnes TAC-XPD 125gr., solid copper hollow point 357 Magnum Ammo? I've thought about getting some to try in my S&W Mdl. 13 with a 3" barrel. I've been using the Federal 125 gr. SJHP load for years but I wonder if the penetration may be better with the SCHP bullet?

Thanks,
Oddball

Barnes

I'm happy with the Barnes 140 gr solid copper, it's stout and shoots good.

It has to be GOOD........

since the copper bullets in a little 38 Special will do the job.

Going from 992fps up to 1200fps or more can't be all bad.

Ive shot about 20 rounds through my Kimber K6. Recoil hurts. It’s some hot stuff to be sure. But it’s accurate. Good load to carry.

I wouldn't think it would kick any more than the Federal, same weight bullet and same velocity, I think anyway?
