that's a bummer. i just lost a part off my condo balcony yesterday, so i kind of know the feeling.
it is dumb that they want the whole rifle back. i checked e-bay, but it turned up nothing.
i have never come across any place online that sells stock parts for this rifle except for the magazines.
good luck. let us know what the outcome was. hopefully someone here has a spare one that they don't need anymore.

I was going to suggest the same thing. But, I would call customer service back and ask for a manager. It seems ridiculous that they will not send you a barrel nut. It probably just costs a few bucks.

i was sitting on my balcony while cutting something with my dremel tool. anyways, i was wearing mechanix gloves and holding the part in my hand. the dremel cutting wheel bit into the piece and catapulted it off my balcony. yeah, dumb i know.

I had an extractor pop out mechanically in competition when I had a feed jam and S&W wants the entire rifle back. Even sent me the prepaid shipping labels. Did not want to send it back just for that. Bought a 2nd 15-22 instead. Now if I send it back I can still shoot.
