If your muzzle is threaded, the brake is threaded to match. I don't recall the thread specs off the top of my head, but 1/2 x 28 seems to ring a bell. That doesn't mean that the thread form matches what you'll find at the local hardware store. There are various thread types with their own forms/profiles.
