Barrette files

Hi all,
I have always used Nicholson files, since that's what we got back in the 1980's at the S&W Armourer school, but I finally wore out my last Barrette file and needed a stock of new ones.
I wanted #2 4", so looked them up at Brownells, and they only listed #1 and #0, so I ordered a #1. (191-350-370WB) What turned up was a Grobet & Valorbe which is not the correct angle on the rear face. I am surprised if such a basic tool is no longer available from Brownells, maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. Is it still possible to get the Nicholson files, or is there an alternative?
Any help greatly appreciated.

Had to order mine off amazon as brownells did have right angle

Unless there is a good Machine Shop supply company near you, On-line would be the best place to find them. Zoro Tools or McMasters might be a good place to start.

The now popular Home Depot's and Lowes don't get into quality and more specific tools - they just sell what the masses or average contractor or tradesman uses. The good old Hardware Store that used to have just about everything is all but gone or useless these days. On-line is usually where I not only find hard to get items, but I usually wind up getting a pretty good deal as well.

PS: Stay away from the imported files - they are stinko! USA only - you will NOT be sorry.

Not sure what you need, but Midway has Nicholson files.

I hadn't ordered from them in quite a while but I've noticed their shipping costs have improved drastically over what they used to be.
