Let the battle begin!

Feel free to prove why your AR case is superior vs another type. Just keep in mind, some will come attempting to learn.

Plano hard case 42" double is what I use.. Lots of extra space for all the mags And another upper.

I'll take the hard cases any day over the soft. I have plenty of soft cases sitting around empty. We often take the ARs to the desert, and it's the hard case that provides solid protection. For value, the Plano 42" (46" outer dimension) is hard to beat.

Some sorta soft case that came with a purchase of a used rifle. Don't remember the name. Has pockets for mags!

Mine is best cause it was free!

Mine is a soft case that was made for the AR-15 that is well padded and has plenty of pockets for magazines. In fact I have two AR-15s and two of these cases. They make a case that holds two AR-15's but I chose to have two single gun cases.

I use a padded soft case made for the AR-15 as said others said before, plenty of pockets for mags, and targets, easy on the auto interior, and they are only about $25.

I like soft cases for trips to the range because they usually have straps / sling so I can wear it on my back and keep my hands free for carrying an Ammo can.

Plano 42 inch hard case, too.

When it's in the trunk with a lock at every corner, it really causes the police to relax at a traffic stop.

But then, I don't think they were really interested in writing me a ticket as much as they wanted to look over the fully restored Plymouth Barracuda I was dirving at the time.

Pelican and SKB hard cases. Here in MA we're required to transport them in a locked case. I'm sure soft cases are lockable, but some officers might not agree.

Curious as to what the reason for having 2 single cases is

I voted soft. But it depends on what you're doing. Just loading up to go out hunting and general home storage I like soft. But if you're flying somewhere and its going to be handled by airport personal and stowed then definitely hard.
