Somewhere in the mid 50's I got a Daisy Golden Eagle for Christmas. It had a blonde plastic forearm and stock, a sling and a scope. I don't think I used the scope after the first day, but I did wear that gun out. That gun sat in the window of Furste's Auto for weeks before Christmas and I just had to have it. My friends got pump guns, but I wanted that one. I have no regrets, we had a great time and it taught me a lot. I probably shot a ton of BB's through it.

When I was 10 I got a Daisy 1894 "Spittin' Image" BBgun for Christmas. Within an hour or so I managed to shoot an empty Clorox jug and have the BB ricochet back and break my glasses (yep...I even LOOKED like Ralphie back then). That was 1964...I ended up owning the family house. As I sit here in the basement/gun room/man cave, there's still a window with a small hole where it was hit with an errant BB. I'm a much better (and more careful) shot now!

You'll put someone's eye out. :). Had to say tht it as I just finished watching Christmas story. My parents were against BB guns, regular guns were ok though. :)

My first BB Gun was a Daisy Red Ryder. Was a Christmas present from my First Grade Teacher....believe it or not. It is a very fond memory.

Got my Daisy Red Ryder BB gun about ten years ago - at age 50! - from my wife and kids! Didn't shoot my eye out, either. Also got th DVD for Christmas Story and an official Ralphie "Ohh Fuuuuuudddddggggee" t-shirt.

It's a hoot to shoot still.

My first was a Daisy model 21 double barrel BB gun when i was
10 i believe. Wish i still had that one as they bring upwards of
800 dollars today to collectors if in good shape.
Shot starlings, pigeons, with it in the Barn hayloft at my grandpaws
and took numerous copperheads with it in the woods of S.Carolina
where dad was stationed.

Don't know how old I was, maybe nine or ten and I got my first BB gun on Christmas day. Was a Daisy, not the Red Ryder but it was like one. Had all wooden stock and forearm, beautiful! I shot the neighbors kitchen window out by accident. Was made to go over and apologies to her and I had to cut her grass for something like a million times to pay for the window.

Holy Cow..I just started to search for pictures of my ole faithful on the internet. It was this Daisy Avanti Champion 499 and I seen it selling for around a hundred bucks. Time for me to dig around the basement and find this thing.
