BBQ 1950's Factory Engraved Pre 27

Thanks for the additional information regarding Alvin Herbert and the link to the Colt for comparison. ... I will have to look it over to see if I can find a tiny "H" hidden somewhere in the engraving. Thanks for the clue! I had no idea he used that as his engravers mark.

Richard, since learning of the mark from 2152hq. I have looked for the "H" on the few engraved Alvin Herbert attributed examples I have and have not found any marked as such.

Since Alvin Herbert worked along side Harry Jarvis at S&W, perhaps the "H" mark may have been something that Mr. Herbert started using after he left S&W and started working for Colt???
