hey all. i'm looking for some really nice wood grips for a smith 686-2 i have. i have some pachmayr grips currently, which are fine, but i am growing accustomed to the recoil and feel of my revolver. i've looked at some hogue stuff, but haven't found the right color match. mines stainless steel, so any suggestions would be great, links or pics preferable.

thanks,

geno

whew...those are nice. i'm looking at the ones that revolver king has in the "686 pics" thread he's listed as "his favorite". i asked him what they were/where he got them but he doesn't remember...they are like a grey/green/brown...i haven't seen anything like them on the web.

thanks Camster!

I have and love Grand Blue grips.......have a beautiful set on my 29-3 in asian rosewood, fit, feel and price is awesome, ordered straight for them in thialand, around $45 shipped and their web sight shows the exact grips you will be getting, im puttin a set on my 17-4, .....took 2 1/2 weeks to arrive but more than well worth it check em out......

I like Ahrends grips in Cocobolo. If you want to pick your actual grain, there is a seller on the online auction site that sells them.

Another vote for Grand Blue Grips. The fit and finish was really impressive.

ahrends are real nice, so are those grand blues...can anyone identify what grips are on "revolver king's" 686? haven't seen that color on any of the grip websites. it is almost a greenish/gray...i wish he knew what they were or where he got them...

are K frame and L frame grips universal for each? as in, same size?
