Went to my LGS to look at some 500's. A BFR and a Smith. The place was crowded so busy I didn't bother the owner who was expecting me. Cabelas, and Barons Den also packed and all three had buyers sitting around waiting for background checks...some allegedly over two hours. So much for instant background check.
Any one else finding out the same thing that black rifles are almost gone in any gun store? Heard Dicks a sporting goods store was taking their black stuff of the market in sympathy for the victims.

My local LGS had some this past weekend, seen quite a few on display, some high end, some around $1000. They also do transfers for online purchases and yea, they were busy, filling forms non stop...

I was in a shop in Loveland, CO on Saturday. It's a place that specializes in "black guns" and usually has a large inventory. I couldn't even get to the guncounter. CO has its own instant check system. It's usually slower than the feds, but the wait on Sat. up to 14 hrs at one point and I heard it reached 22 hours the next day. Bulk ammo in 5.56 and 7.62x39 was selling as fast as people could cart it out the door and Magpul mags were selling by the hundreds. I've never seen anything quite like it.

My LGS sold out of their semiauto rifles this past weekend. Not so much on the hi cap handguns. I'm beginning to think I need to buy half a dozen or so 1911s.......oh, and I can reload faster than most folks can aquire a target. No brag, just fact.......

went to my local gun/barber shop today. he's never had black rifles but does have a few glocks etc and they are all still there. had one guy wanting to order a new duck gun. he said folks around here all have plenty of guns. he's probably right. lee

I was never so glad that my collection is pretty much complete.

I was never so glad that I am into older guns and have no love-loss over AR's, AK's, Hi-Cap guns in general.

I was never so glad that I reload and that I do have all the 22's and Factory
ammo I'll need for the foreseeable future.

To be starting out in this hobby now you are going to need a lot of patience, lots of money and must accept the fact that the gun laws are not going to get better - but much more restrictive. :(

I wish that I had a gunstore/barbershop to go to. Along with a gunstore donut shop...

Talked to my local dealer yesterday he said ALL the distributors are telling him they're sold out of ARs and AR accessories...he said one dealer was sold out of 70,000 magazines alone.

Get all you can before the horders get there!

I guess I'm fortunate to have smaller hands
and Double Stack Magazines are not to my hands liking.

I like the older revolvers also.

People should have learned and been on a program from 2008
if not 1994, to be able to SELF service their needs.

Self Service and a PLAN sure does wonders for Stress Relief.;)

:( that would be me. And in reality I only want an AR15, FS2000, and a SCAR in the big scary gun category. Bad thing is without a loan its not happening with this clown in office
