I made this tonight out of scrap material I had in my garage.

The holster attaches with velcro. Right now it holds a Glock 43x, but the holster can be easily changed.

IMHO (yes, I admit to be opinionated) - LOL) the cheap/inexpensive nightstand sheet metal safes (keyed, biometric or combination) are a false sense of security and many times can't even keep a kid from getting the gun, no less an adult or thief. After watching "The Lock Picking Lawyer's" videos, I'd use them only for a midnight snack.

I believe a really good and convenient hiding spot beats out a useless sheet metal "gun safe". BTW, I have witnessed a few young kids actually watching TLPL's videos, so don't discount them being smarter than we realize!!! I guess they got the idea from their parents watching it - don't really know.

Bought the nightstand safe so that I didn't have to put them in a drawer to keep them out of sight- open at bed time, closed when I get up. Wasn't the cheapest model, nor was it the most expensive so I can't really judge the relative quality. It is quite heavy, although I never expected it to prevent theft. Don't have children here except when my nephew's family visits. With my routine, I don't have to worry if remembered to hide the guns when they come over. I know they're far from perfectly secure, but I think it's better than putting them in a drawer.

Nicely done. Don't forget a back-up,,
Mine is an aluminum Louisville Slugger! It's a "SRMII". A short-range medium-impact intrument useful for performing social surgery.
Gives immediate audible feedback on contact in low-light situations too. AND, it's easier on the eardrums w/o muzzle flash;)
Otherwise, something with more velocity awaits nearby,,,

This dude is prepared.
