Bee Shoot Revisited

As in a previous post I stated that i had been shooting carpenter bees with my 34. Yesterday I started in on them again with my new to me 2" 63. Ran out of rat shot.......What to do? Last night I loaded up some .32 long cases with 1.5 grs. of Bullseye, a heavy paper wad, 7cc of #9 shot(smallest I had) and an over card wad. sealed with finger nail polish. Went on the hunt again today with my great granddad's ancient .32 HE.
Killed about a dozen. Am winning the battle but losing the war....May have to resort to chemicals.

I do not use a gun to kill the carpenter bees at my house; although it sounds like fun....I prefer to use a tennis raquet..That is funny. When you hit one you will hear a ping and then on the ground they go, I then step on them taking care of the problem.

Bee careful...you could end up with tennis elbow! But it does sound like fun.

I love the smell of napalm in the morning.
I will often use a bug zapper racket. It uses batteries to zap whatever is on the racket.

I use the bug zapper raquet for house flies...My kids use it to torture each other...LOL...I have been through 4 of them so far...

Funny, in the shipboard Navy, we called that a "hard kill" similar to shooting them. Don

I use a Bearcat for mine. With its matching western holster I practice my Clint Eastwood quickdraw. Wife thinks I'm nuts but have a ton of fun.

I'm with Joe on this. For this kind of infestation you need to call in the F-4's
I love the smell of Napalm in the mornin'.

I'll go out in the backyard with my oversize whiffleball bat. Neighbors probley think i'm nuts
but my grandaughter loves to watch Papaw ding them out of the park from time to time.

I have those carpenter bees also. I don't use a tennis racket but a badminton racket. Not too good with it. But with the racket I do love the "ping" of a hit. I was thinking of some #12 shot and a 38 special. I do have a partial box of the 22 bird shot. All I have is a High Standard Trophy 106 to shoot them out of. Long story short, I bought from my local ranch & farm supply some termite spray which is like 32 % permethrin. I spray my deck, my exterior base on my house on a yearly basis. They hover but never burrow.

We had a prior post some time ago by people who were using oatmeal and a .38 special. I can't find it, but I'm not that smart.

My son and I do that, and we keep score, but we use Squash rackets.

I would think a primer powering a wax plug would also work, and have less potential for collateral damage.
