Howdy all.
It's been a little while since I posted. I've been busy, got a lot of irons in the fire.
The biggest thing is my Fire Fighter 1 training. We're in the home stretch now. A full day on the training grounds tomorrow, and one more lecture Monday. After that, it's 2 more days on the training grounds, the written test, a practical skills review, and then the final FF1 practical test. Should be all wrapped up by Memorial Day.
This has really crimped my shooting. I haven't gone since mid-January. I loaded up to go today, but I left later due to the heavy rain and such. By the time I got to the range, it was past 11:30, and they had signs up saying that their "summer" hours started today, so close at noon instead of 2pm. It used to be May 1st IIRC, but no problem. They'll be another time.
February was not a good month. My boss was out sick for a week and a half, I had to run the show. That, coupled with the FF1 training 2 nights a week plus all day Sunday had me ground down. And a personal issue, which I'm not going to get into, added to the stress. I came close to walking away from everything, but I didn't. I regrouped, took a few days off after the boss came back, pulled my head out of my ***, and moved on. I'm OK now.
As I said in some other posts, my goal is to move to the Gettysburg area. After I finish my FF1 training, that will shift into high gear. Pretty good chance I'll be listing some stuff this summer. I'd like to get down to a core of stuff I do shoot, and let others enjoy those that I'm not.
That's it for now.
