I am a big believer in prayers! That has definitely come in handy during the last year. I had rectal cancer surgery in January of this year after going through weeks of pill form chemo and radiation. After some recovery, I went through weeks of IV chemo. While recovering from that, I had a CT scan that showed the cancer was gone! I thought things were going to be "gravy" after that, but that has not been the case. I have had problems with blood clots in my right leg, bleeding in my temporary ostomy bag that I have dealt with since surgery, and now, maybe spinal stenosis.
I have a MRI scheduled for Monday to find out what the cause of my weeks long back pain. I have never had back pain before and it is getting almost impossible to walk without severe pain, hence the worry of spinal stenosis. Then, on Wednesday, I am scheduled to have ostomy bag reversal surgery. I have been looking forward to that since my original surgery for the rectal cancer. I should be in the hospital for 3-5 days if things go right. It will then be a 6-10 week recovery period.
It has been a long year!! If you are of the mind, please keep me in your thoughts and prayers! The more.....the better, as I see it. I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. At times, I thought it might be a train heading my way!
I really enjoy this forum and made lots of "internet friends" here and look forward to contributing for years to come! Thanks.
