Received mine today. Actually came in yesterday, went thru the background and I picked it up today. The pistol is like new in the box, doesn't look fired at all. The mag has a couple tiny nicks of blueing gone on the bottom, but may have been randomly put into the pistol at sales place. I shot two mags thru it and no problems. The grip is slightly slimmer than my M81, but it is a single stack, 8 round magazine. The .380 auto has a bit more snap than the .32acp, but I guess that is expected. Overall, I am really pleased, now to find more ammo, the store had one box of Aguila and I bought that.

Congratulations. It's nice to hear that at least one of the MilSurps currently flooding the market is actually in excellent condition. Lately all I've been reading about are unfortunate folks such as myself who got burned buying a MilSurp pistol.

Yep, a Romanian Tokarev TTC, described as "meticulously reconditioned and refinished" by the seller, but in reality was worn on the outside, dirty on the inside, and with a great big dent to the muzzle of the barrel, complete with one rusted out magazine. In other words, it was neither refinished nor reconditioned, and stored/shipped with insufficient preservative so the magazine was completely rusted out internally.
Oh, and it was sold by a well-known retailer, not just some fly-by-night private seller on some auction site.

I bought one from Gunparts corp, it is excellent. Ammo of all kinds seem to be in short supply. There appears to be a run on pump shotguns too.

Israel issued them to Police units. Ive owned a few and found them to be a well made weapon. For the folks who say the .380 is not a powerful round I beg to differ.

While I wouldn't describe the .380 ACP cartridge as "powerful" per se, it is most certainly adequate.

I carried .380 ACP as my primary Self-Defense cartridge for years, and only upgraded to .40 S&W due to sightings of wild, potentially rabid animals in my area which I wasn't confident in the .380 ACP's ability to stop. Heck, most folks probably think that .40 S&W isn't enough either, but seeing as it's a dual-purpose weapon for EDC, I can't justify carrying a Magnum Revolver everywhere.

I have a 81BB, an 84BB, and an 85bb, all mil surplus and in great shape. The best one is the 84, which just has a tiny bit of edge wear on the slide. The 85 is about the same, with a couple of knicks on the frame, and the 81 is last, but looks fantastic. The only pic I have of it is terrible and makes it look like there is some serious wear and tear on it, but in reality, it's 88-90%. If you want to see ugly mil surplus, here you go:

Most surplus guns seem to arrive looking like they've been stored in a public ashtray. After cleaning the heck out of them, I've generally been pleased with what I got.
There used to be a distributor, Coles (he's now gone), who would take the worst guns and do a quickie parkerizing on them. I got a FEG HP clone for $200 that way.

No, it's nickel and it's not really able to be cleaned up too much more than it already is. Took me hours to get the hunk of epoxy off the side of the frame. The gun is fine mechanically and shoots great. Most all of my ex-mil guns came from Gary Cole before he went and even my last one, the Beretta 81 came through CDI. It's by far the ugliest looking gun I own. I have another black Jericho that is like new. I've had a couple of truly nasty looking guns, all were satin nickel, like the Jericho, and all were pitted at least and one had big flakes of nickel missing. Shot great and when I dropped it, it didn't care!
