Has anyone loaded this bullet for the 9mm shield? If so, can anyone help a fellow reloader out and give me some good load data for this bullet. I would greatly appreciate it. I've been looking for awhile and I can't find it anywhere. I'm wanting to use Hodgon Titegroup powder and probably federal primers (small pistol) so, if anyone can help me out I would greatly appreciate it. Also, I was wondering if someone could feed me some knowledge on "Thick Plated Bullets" since Berry's recommend certain maximum velocitys for Thick plated and non-thick plated bullets. How do you know if your bullets are thick plated or not? Or am I blind does it say on the box of ammo haha !

I've never used Berry's plated bullets, so no help there :-(

I have used Everglades 115/124 gr. plated RN bullets with 4.1 grs. TiteGroup with very good results in my SD9VE and M&P 9. These are .355" and load extremely well/easy.

I just received my first order from X-treme bullets, including 124 gr. FP bullets. I will also be trying this same load with these bullets.

It would be nice if the manufacturers for plated bullets would provide loading data, but they don't. I take bullet shape/weight/diameter in consideration and then look at loading data for lead bullets and jacketed bullets for the powder I want to use, then see if I can come up with a "happy medium" for starting load, and never exceed the maximum load! I shoot for fun & enjoyment, so I never load max; I stay around mid loading data to find something that shoots well and functions without issues. Most plated bullets should not be loaded faster than 1,200 fps MV; the heavier plated bullets can be loaded up to 1,500 fps MV, depending on the makers' recommendations.

Good luck and let us know how it works out :-) Stay Safe!

The Hodgdon on line reloading data includes load data for a 9mm, 124 gr. Berrys HBRN that should be helpful.
