Bodyguard 2.0 Hollow Point Problem

Re-reading this post has me looking at my BG 2.0 that shoots everything well. What I have noticed is that the mag stop lever catch ...the part inside the firearm that when lifted actually catches onto the magazine....

I don't get what part you're referring to here ... what is a "mag stop lever catch" that can be lifted?

This part that is the inside of the slide stop. My explain was not very clear. Maybe this pic helps. As the cartridge is in the magazine it is just below this. As an empty case is being ejected, this tab is just to the left side of the bullet. As the empty is ejected, the new round is being lifted by the magazine spring to be chambered, some bullets rub against this little tab.

Hello, I am new here but not new to shooting. I posted another thread and received some great advice so I hope you guys can help me with this issue.

I have a new Smith & Wesson bodyguard 2.0. Unfortunately, I am experiencing a problem trying to load it with hollow point ammunition. No matter how I attempt to load (inserting a magazine and releasing the slide, or inserting a magazine with a closed slide and racking) I am experiencing failures. The round does not fully chamber and prevents the slide from fully closing. This only happens with hollow point. It does not happen with ball or dummy rounds.

Does anyone know if this is an issue with this weapon? Thank you!
I use Lehigh. No problems feeding and it performs better

The part is the inside tab attached to the very front of the slide lock rail on the left side of the gun. When the slide lock is released the slide tab moves downward. The little tab looks like a guide to keep the round and nose of the bullet from moving downward instead of upwards into the grip feed ramp and then into the feed ramp of the chamber.

I'm just guessing because what I know about firearm design engineering wouldn't make a pimple on Jerry Miculek's butt.

The photo is with the mag inserted but not latched.

Okay ... the slide stop .... "by any other name" I guess.

Federal Train and Protect hollowpoint

This YouTube channel has been relentless in demonstrating the weakness of 380 pistols in achieving expansion of hollowpoint rounds fired through clothing. Two years ago he concluded that the best thing to do was use the flat nosed Winchester FMJ. Not that it was so great but it was as good as anything else and much less expensive.

But now he has released a gel test using the Federal Train and Protect ammunition and demonstrates it with a Bodyguard 2.0 This is actually big news.

Yes, his accent and cornball act is a bit silly but this guy knows his firearms, ammunition, and terminal ballistics.
