Best 40S&W/10mm "carbide" sizing die for reloading 357 SIG?

Lee makes a nice set for the .357 Sig. I suggest that. I purchased the crimp die separately.

Yes, you size the body with a carbide 40 S&W die then size the neck with a standard 357 sig die. Or just pony up the money for a Dillon Carbide 357 sig die set which sizes without the need for lube.

I use a RCBS carbide 40 S&W to size and a Lee to neck size. Has worked fine so far. I also have been using a Lee factory crimp die to avoid set back issues due to the short necks.

RCBS .40 cal carbide die to size body and Redding .357 sig die set to size neck and seat bullet. Also use the Wilson cartridge case gauge to insure cases are sized properly and check case length.

I have RCBS, Lee, Hornady and Dillon in carbide and my favorite is the Dillon but they all work well.

I use a Redding push through die for a 40 and a Dillon carbide 357..
Makes great looking and very reliable loads...

Just bite the bullet & buy the Dillon. The addl step of sizing in a 40 or pass thru isnt worth the $$$$ to me.

I use a RCBS 40 carbide die for the body and a Lee 357 Sig for the neck. Screw them into my RCBS Pro 2K die head in Stations 1&2 - no extra steps. Works like a champ. You'll also need a case gauge. I use Wilson.

Thanks to all! Loaded my 1st 9 trial rounds with the Hornady Custom 40 S&W sizing die, then a wee bit of Frankford Arsenal case lube and their 357 SIG steel sizing die to neck size, the expander die and the seating/crimp die. Very smooth operation, no sticking or unusual effort required.

We'll see at the range, but I don't anticipate any set back "issues" as the neck tension alone seems pretty stout and I have always had good performance with the taper crimp on Hornady pistol die sets...

Even though I do not load the .400 Cor-Bon very often, I do the same thing with it - re-size the body in a .45 ACP carbide die and the neck in a .400 Cor-Bon die.

Even though I don't shoot it much, I do like the .400 C-B, and all you need is a .400 C-B barrel to convert any M1911 to fire that caliber. Simple to make cases from .45 ACP. Essentially the same as the relationship between the .40 S&W and the .357 SIG.

I loaned a buddy of mine e the Redding push through sizer to get rid of the "smile" and he then full length resized all his brass before sorting.

He was having an awful time with jams and had heard that 357SIG benefits from this as well. He also lubed with OneShot spray before starting out.

100% reliable loads.

He uses the Lee set. Still have to lube them before full length/neck sizing those cartridges.

He shoots 147gr pills almost exclusively in his pistols.
