New mp9c owner here wondering what everyone is using holster wise for concealed carry. IWB preferred.

Welcome to the Forum. You'll get lots of good info here.
I have a 9c and use a Galco King Tuk.
The leather is a bit stiff and takes a while to break in and sort of mold itself to you. The holster itself is Kydex and holds securely with the "FBI" cant. It works well for me behind the back, or on the strong side.
There are tons of others the folks on here use.

I carry my compact in a Don Hume IWB holster, all leather and fairly inexpensive.
Great holster for the money.

This is my newest addition from Gavin at firearmholster.com

Double stitched with two shades of grey. He also made me a set of matching belt loops at no charge, but haven't put them on yet. It's my fourth from Gavin....they ROCK! Comfortable...you'll forget it's there. Neoprene in between the leather and fleece to keep moisture off the gun.

Only $50, and he'll customize it for you!

If this tread runs long enough it will list every brand made. The best for you is the one you pick and like. We all have a few that were no good for us but great for others!

I have used a comp-tac minotaur neutral for almost 7 years and carry around a 2:15 position.
Inside Waistband Holsters -
I carry a kahr but do to hand surgery I swapped the body for the m&p kydex body and same holster is ready to go again. Works well with the m&p9c or the full size core.

I too have a 9c and I tried a few holsters, trying to find the "right one". I was convinced that I needed a hybrid holster (a.k.a. supertuck or Alien Gear) that had two belt clips. I tried a few and while some were more comfortable than others, none were truly comfortable for me. There always seemed to be a piece of leather that poked me. Then the husband said to try the N82 Pro (owned by two guys named Nate). I was doubtful since it only has one clip. I was concerned about it weighing down my pants. I gotta to say that I hate it when the husband is right! I love my N82 Pro holster. Excellent retention, soft against the skin, nothing pokes me, waterproof, you can adjust the cant, easy to put the holster on and off. The back of the holster is suede so it is soft against your skin and the suede helps prevent it from creeping around. The front of the holster is a soft leather, between the suede and leather is neoprene which makes a nice soft padding between you and the gun and is waterproof. The part that actually holds your gun is a type of plastic (not kydex). There is no need to break in the holster. The fit for the gun is excellent. The gun positively clicks into place and you need to twist the gun towards you to get the holster to release it. So nobody can randomly grab your gun out of your holster unless they know the trick. Learning to gently twist the gun inwards takes about 2 seconds to learn and it is simple to use. If you have a need to take your holster on and off during the day, the single clip makes it very easy. I have never had it weigh down my pants. It is by far the most comfortable holster I have ever had (and I am picky). Hope this helps you. Buying a holster is a very personal choice. If you can find someone who uses a N82 holster or can check out one in person, I recommend it. They are great!

What I mean is what works for me may not for you. There is not perfect work for all holster. If you have done this CC thing for a while you will have some holster that just did not work out but others love. Kind like firearms .

I use two different styles for my MP compacts. One is an all leather IWB holster with dual leather loops and pull-the-dot snaps. The other is a leather and kydex hybrid holster with nylon over the belt clips so I can tuck in my shirt if I need to. I use the all leather example more often since I don't need to tuck in my shirts very often, but find either style is comfortable for me.
